THIS IS A PRIVATE TOUR
The country of Fiji is a vast area made up of more than 300 small islands, of which just 110 are inhabited on a permanent basis. The capital of Fiji, Suva, is located on the island known as Viti Levu. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions have formed the landscape of the island which in turn has lead to some fantastic panoramic scenery. Suva has been the capital of Fiji since 1877 and was built on a hilly peninsula in the south of Viti Levu.
Your tour will begin at the Garden of the Sleeping Giants. Nestled in the cool shadow of the mountains of the same name, the Garden of the Sleeping Giants is one of the most impressive gardens you will ever see. The gardens contain more than 2000 orchids which were cultivated and loved by the famous actor the late Raymond Burr, star of Ironside. You will learn about the history of the gardens, the actor himself, and of course the secrets to cultivating the impressive collection or orchids.
You will then visit the town of Nadi and its striking Hindu Temple. The Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple is the largest temple of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and has been around for many years. The colors and art work within the temple are extraordinary and provide for some fantastic photographic opportunities.
After exploring the seaside town you will move onto the Nadi Market where you can mingle with locals and try some wonderful Fijian food samples and pick up some unique souvenirs of your time on these magical islands. After the markets, the tour visits the chiefly village of Viseisei, the legendary landing site of the first Fijians. After time to wander around this seaside village

- Arrive at Viseisei Village - 30 minutes
- Depart for Garden of the Sleeping Giant - 10 minutes
- Arrive at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant - 30-45 minutes
- Depart for the Hindu Temple - 20 minutes
- Arrive at the Hindu Temple - 15 minutes
- Depart for Nadi Markets - 5 minutes
- Arrive at Nadi Markets - 20-30 minutes
- Depart for Port Denarau Shopping - 5 minutes
- Arrive at Shopping - 30-45 minutes
- Depart for Port - 30 minutes
If the tour falls on Sundays the village will be skipped as it is closed.
