As we drive through the sanctuary, you’ll be greeted by friendly donkeys who love to “say hello”, don’t be surprised if a curious nose pokes through your car window! You’ll even have the chance to feed a few lucky donkeys by purchasing some carrots on-site.
During our visit, we’ll explore the Special Care Unit, where you’ll learn how the sanctuary’s dedicated team nurses distressed donkeys back to health. Take a stroll through the garden area, home to local plants, tortoises, and iguanas, offering a glimpse into Bonaire’s natural beauty.
Climb the watchtower for a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire sanctuary, a perfect spot for photos and a moment to appreciate the peaceful surroundings.
We’ll conclude our visit with a refreshing drink on the terrace, where you might spot graceful pink flamingos across the nearby Salt Lake, a picture-perfect end to a meaningful and memorable experience.
