This short, nature-focused excursion is perfect for cruise travelers who want to experience Puerto Madryn’s wildlife without venturing far from the city.
Located just 15 km from town, the Punta Loma Nature Reserve is home to a permanent colony of South American sea lions. From designated viewpoints, you’ll have the unique opportunity to observe these fascinating marine mammals as they rest on the beaches or swim just offshore.
Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you'll learn about the sea lions’ behavior, the ecological value of the reserve, and the wider context of Patagonian coastal wildlife.
This tour is specially designed with cruise schedules in mind. For instance, if your ship arrives at 8:00 AM, the tour may begin around 10:00 AM, allowing for a relaxed start while ensuring your return at least one hour before your ship’s departure. Timing is always adjusted to match the ship's arrival.
