Best November to March, the dry season across Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Warm, clear and comfortable for island and temple days. The mid-year monsoon months bring heavy afternoon rain and fewer sailings.
Best November to February, when humidity drops and the northern cities are mild enough for long walking days. Hanoi is noticeably cooler than the south — layers matter more than people expect.
Sails closer to year-round, with two peaks: cherry blossom from late March into April, and autumn colour from October into November. Both sell out furthest ahead of anything else we operate in Asia.
Operator capacity in several Asian ports is smaller than in the Caribbean or Mediterranean, so small-group tours fill early — reserve 3–5 months out, and earlier still for a Japan sailing in cherry blossom or autumn. Reserve with a deposit now and pay the balance closer to departure; cancellation is free up to 7 days before your first tour.

Three itineraries. The Southeast Asia package covers Phuket, Langkawi, Penang, Klang and Lombok. The Premium Experiences package covers Hanoi, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Ko Samui. The Japan package covers Kobe, Kochi, Nagasaki, Kagoshima and Shimizu.
They cover different countries rather than different quality levels, so match the package to your ship's route. Southeast Asia suits Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia itineraries. Premium Experiences suits Vietnam and Thailand itineraries. The Japan package suits Japanese island itineraries. The Southeast Asia 5-Port Package starts at $335 per person, the Premium Experiences 5-Port Package at $605, and the Japan 5-Port Package at $709. All prices are per person and cover all five included tours. The differences reflect local operating costs and the depth of the experiences, not a service tier.

It depends which part of Asia you are sailing, and the calendars differ sharply. Southeast Asia is best from November to March, its dry season. Vietnam and Thailand are best from November to February. Japan sails closer to year-round, with cherry blossom from late March into April and autumn colour from October into November as the two peaks.
It depends on your nationality and the countries your ship calls at. Vietnam in particular has requirements that differ from the rest of the region, and rules change. Cruise lines advise on entry requirements for your specific sailing and passport, and official government sources are the authority — check both well before you travel.
