Overview
Departing from the port of Nafplion, enjoy a scenic 1½-hour drive through the landscapes of the Peloponnese before arriving at the ancient city of Corinth, where Saint Paul lived and preached for two years.
In antiquity, Corinth was one of the wealthiest and most influential cities in Greece. Its impressive remains offer a glimpse into its former grandeur, including the vast Agora (marketplace) and the Temple of Apollo, dating back to the 6th century BC.
Standing among the ruins of Ancient Corinth is a truly breathtaking experience. As you explore this remarkable archaeological site, it is easy to let your imagination wander and picture the people, legends, and events that shaped its extraordinary history.
After visiting Ancient Corinth, continue to Mycenae, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mycenaean civilization. Enter the legendary citadel through the monumental Lion Gate and step inside its imposing Cyclopean walls. To the right of the entrance lies the Grave Circle, a royal burial site traditionally associated with the legendary King Agamemnon.
Outside the citadel, approximately 400 metres from the main site, discover the magnificent beehive-shaped tomb known as the Treasury of Atreus. This extraordinary monument is traditionally linked to Agamemnon and stands as one of the finest examples of Mycenaean architecture.
This unforgettable journey brings together history, archaeology, and mythology in a way that is uniquely Greek. From the ancient streets of Corinth to the legendary citadel of Mycenae, the stories of gods, heroes, kings, and warriors come vividly to life, revealing why Greece continues to captivate travellers from around the world.
