Overview
Santa Margherita is a town that has everything you could ask for, from a town on the Italian Riviera to quaint cafes and pastel coloured buildings. There will be historic buildings you will visit a long the way, including a 16th Century Castle and a 17th Century Castle. Another historical location in Santa Margherita is Villa Durazzo, this was built in 1678 as the summer home for Durazzo Family.
The Rooms in Villa Durazzo that are furnished with period furniture contain a collection of paintings that includes the artwork from Genoese Pictorial school of the XVII and XVIII centuries. The Villa owes it beauty to its century-old Garden, which stretches out over three hectares, overlooking the views of the Gulf.
