Overview
Your first stop will be the Gateway of India, perhaps Mumbais most famous monument, where the guide will give you information all about the sites history and architecture. After this opportunity to take in the sights and learn more about the colorful history of Mumbai, the tour will move on to Nariman Point, one of the most romantic commercial centers in the entire world.
Following this, you will be taken to Marine Drive, a skillfully laid-out boulevard in South Mumbai where the guide will tell you more about the history of the area and escort you along to a guided tour of Mani Bhavan, the old Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi.
Next, you will have the opportunity to view the unique Dhobi ghats, something seldom seen outside of India, before then being taken on a luxurious drive where the guide will point out for you the homes of famous Bollywood stars. After all of this excitement, you will have a chance to stop for lunch (Not included in the price) where you have the option of either Rajdhani for vegetarians, Copper Chimney for non-vegetarians, or even KFC and McDonalds for those who would like something a little more familiar.
For the final stop of the tour, you will be driven to a live shooting site of a Bollywood movie. You will be guided around a specially created studio and get the chance to see some of the sets and even watch a live shooting of a movie which will give you an intimate look into the behind-the-scenes workings of a Bollywood film. Depending on how much time you have and how busy the set is, you may get the opportunity to get a peek into one of the film stars makeup rooms and even have a picture taken with some of the stars!
After an active and enthralling day, your guide will transfer you back to your cruise ship where you can relax and reflect on the day that has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
