Overview
With a meeting at the pier, your experienced guide will bring you out, via 4WD, to the Pohatu Marine Reserve to be outfitted in all the necessary equipment for kayaking.
After a brief safety lesson, you will push out into the water to explore the water life up-close and personal. Enjoy the views of the the outer coast of the Pohatu Marine Reserve with its towering sea cliffs, rock stacks, reefs, and deep sea caves that have been carved out by Mother Nature.
Your guide will lead you to some of the best vantage points within the sheltered bay. Keep your eye out for penguins, seal colonies, hector dolphins, and a wide range of sea bird species.

This tour takes out a maximum of 8 double kayaks.

You must be at least 8 years old to participate

All participants will paddle in double sea kayaks. If there is an odd number in the group, guests will be paired with another guest or a guide.

Sea kayaking requires a moderate level of physical activity and is not recommended for guests with back problems or limited upper body strength.
