Overview
You will be met by your guide at 9am at Station Pier, settle in for your full day adventure, narrated by your knowledgeable local guide as you venture through the Mornington Peninsula, just an hour away.
Your tour takes you to the highest point on the Mornington Peninsula - Arthurs Seat. Take in the sweeping views from the lookout that stretch across Port Phillip Bay, capture memorable photos.
A tour highlight is the fun and unique Brighton Bathing Boxes. Enjoy getting sand in your toes as you photograph the brightly coloured Bathing Boxes and take in the city views. Learn about their hisotrical significance that date back to the 1840's all the way to the modern day.
A visit to the region would not be complete without meeting Australian wildlife! Here at the Moonlit Sanctuary, this enchanting Wildlife Conservation Park where you can interact with Australia's unique fauna. There is the opportunity to feed a kangaroo, and encounter cuddly koalas. A wonderful experience to discover wallabies in their natural habitat and enjoy a self- guided walk.
Set amongst bushland there is much to discover, have your camera ready and look out for the distinct orange-bellied parrots and water birds in the wetlands. The sanctuary is a haven for endangered species, home to over 60 Australian species, including approximately 80 wallabies roaming freely. This truly is an unforgettable experience.
You will experience first hand the regions well known food and exquisite wines, as you savour sensational regional menus. A real highlight as you opt for a premium wine tasting (included) and indulge in a delicious lunch at one of the esteemed wineries - Merrick's General Wine Store.
The Mornington Peninsula produces exceptional Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris wines and you will soon discover why! Winemakers and chefs are attracted to this incredible setting and you will enjoy being a part of this during your lunch stop.
You may not want to leave the beautiful setting, and you will enjoy Arthurs lookout on your return before returning to your cruise port.
