Overview
Your tour will begin with a drive across the famous Sydney Harbor Bridge to beautiful Lavender Bay on the North side of the Harbor for your first stop of Morning Tea, a great opportunity to take in the uninterrupted views of the Sydney Opera House, the city and the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
After Morning Tea you will return to the vehicle and drive up to the Opera house where you'll take a short walk up the forecourt steps. Added to UNESCOs World Heritage List in 2007 Sydney's Opera house was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20th October, 1973 and is now home to more than 10.9 million visitors every year.
Heading off from the Opera house you'll drive along Macquarie Street to see how the history of Sydney has changed since its days of early settlement, the historical buildings display the growth and development of Sydney and early Australia like no other street in the country. As this part of the journey ends youll enter the Royal Botanic Gardens, the quiet Tarpeian Lawn is a welcome escape from the crowds and the perfect picture location for views of the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. You'll stroll from here down to Mrs Macquarie's Chair, carved out of sandstone in the early 1800s, it is a Sydney landmark that juts out over the sea, made for the wife of the Governor at the time Lachlan Macquarie.
You will then rejoin the vehicle and drive through lively Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross before we leisurely make our way through the beautiful Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. You will see how each suburb is a small village in its own right as we introduce you to Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watson's Bay, Australias oldest fishing village with its breath-taking Sydney Harbor views.
You'll visit The Gap with its stunning sea cliffs and views across the Pacific Ocean, before your next stop at the iconic Bondi Beach where you'll have the opportunity to take some incredible photos and walk along the world famous promenade.
Next, you'll visit the most scenic parts of the coastal walk that runs between Bondi and Coogee beach, a stunning coastal trail which takes in beaches, parks, cliffs and bays. After this, we'll return you to the cruise port in plenty of time for your ship's departure.
