Overview
Your breath-taking adventure begins with a pickup from the pier and a relaxing private drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside in air-conditioned transportation and a recent model deluxe vehicle or minibus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including mango, coffee, sugar, and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands, and rural farming communities. You will be heading to the Central Pacific Coast, Tarcoles River, and Carara Adventure Park until arrives at our private property, about a 60-minute drive from Puntarenas Pier. Upon arrival to our beautiful property, you will have some free time to use restrooms and explore the surroundings before starting the adventure.
Carara Adventure Park is a privately own reserve with 80 acres of rainforest and stunning views of the Pacific Coast, Carara National Park, and Puntarenas City. Our zipline tour is certified with the highest technology equipment PETZL. The French company Petzl makes equipment for vertical use and there is probably no mountaineer who does not have at least one piece of equipment made by this traditional manufacturer in their backpack. Petzl ziplines sets offer plenty of comfort in matters of control and safety. The Zipline tour begins with an orientation chat where the rules and regulations for safety and security are explained thoroughly. The orientation chat is very important, and it is imperative that all advice is adhered to throughout the tour.
After instructions, the groups will be transferred to the top of the mountain by a modified open truck where the zip line begins. This zip line includes 12 Cables, 15 Platforms & 3 Hanging Bridges. The longest cable is 1.200 feet long and the highest point is about 100 feet.
After this great adventure flying around the treetops, our tour will continue with a short drive to Tarcoles River, where a 60 minutes eco boat tour will allow you to enjoy the abundant wildlife of the area, including the huge crocodiles, multiple aquatic birds, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, and other amazing tropical species.
After these two great adventures, return to the pier. Upon arrival, you can decide to stay in the city or make your way back directly to the ship. For all those interested in walking along the boulevards, the pier is located right in the city at a very short distance from your ship. So, no worries for an easy return.
