You will be met at the cruise port of Cartagena and then guided to your air conditioned transportation ready to take you to the meeting point where your walking tour begins.
During this tour, you'll learn about Cartegna's fascinating history. While your private guide narrates the walking tour, you'll be left with an idea of the rich and vibrant culture of this former colonial town.
Our walking tour begins at Santiago´s Bastion.
We'll pass charming colonial architecture on our way to San Pedro Claver´s Plaza, with its convent and church.
We'll continue to the colonial commercial district of Custom Plaza and down the street to the Cathedral and the Governor’s house, which was the headquarters of the Spanish government.
Plaza de Bolivar is the next stop and features a statue of its namesake, as well as the Inquisition Palace, with all of the history it implies. We'll stroll along the streets to view the colonial mansions of Cartagena, finishing up back at Santiago.
From there, we'll travel to the Dungeons, used in colonial times as a military barracks and ammunitions depot. Today, local artisans display their arts and handcrafts here.
