Discover the rich biodiversity and laid-back charm of Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast on this half-day adventure to Cahuita National Park, one of the country’s most beautiful and accessible protected areas.
Located less than an hour from Port Limón, Cahuita is where lush tropical rainforest meets the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival, set out on a guided nature walk along a flat and well-maintained trail that winds through the park. Over the course of 1 to 1.5 hours, your naturalist guide will help you spot an array of fascinating wildlife, keep your eyes open for sloths nestled in the trees, playful capuchin and howler monkeys, colorful iguanas, and a variety of tropical birds. The trail is scenic and mostly shaded, making it suitable for guests of most fitness levels.
After your hike, enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time at the park’s picturesque beach. Golden sands and calm, clear waters invite you to swim, sunbathe, or simply unwind beneath the swaying palms.
The experience continues with a short visit to the colorful town of Cahuita, where you’ll have free time to explore its charming streets, browse local shops, or enjoy an authentic Caribbean lunch (not included) at one of the town’s relaxed seaside restaurants.
Finally, return comfortably to Port Limon with memories of wild nature, stunning coastlines, and Costa Rica’s warm Caribbean culture.
