Overview

This exciting new program really lets you interact with these friendly marine mammals.

The adventure begins with a 15-minute briefing about the dolphins and an explanation of the activities you will experience.


From your platform in the water, you will be able to pet and kiss the dolphins.

Our professional photographers will capture these magical moments for you. Photo prices vary based on the package you purchase.



Then, after donning your life jacket, you will enter the water and do a belly-to-belly dance with your new friend.



Each session includes 50 minutes of swim time with the dolphins. There is bonus time included to interact with manatees!

  • excluded PLEASE NOTE: The location of this dolphin swim facility is in the Puerto Aventuras area and is appropriate for guests staying at hotels south of the city of Playa del Carmen and as far south as the Tulum area. This includes properties such as; any with 'Xcaret' in the name, Hard Rock Riviera Maya, Bacelo Maya properties, the Grand Palladium, Secrets Akumal and any with 'Tulum' in the name.... If your hotel is north of the city of Playa Del Carmen, please look at the selection of excursions available from our PLAYA DEL CARMEN page.
  • excluded Please check in 30 minutes prior to activity time.
  • excluded The transfer cost is not included for participants. For participants the price is $10 per person. For observers, there is a $15 (per person) roundtrip transportation fee, payable at the time of the transfer.
  • excluded There is no charge for observers to enter the park.
  • excluded Please note that the Dolphin Swim facility does not accept US cash in their restaurants, boutiques and photo purchase stations. Please bring Pesos or a Credit/Debit card to make any payments.
  • excluded Very important: You must bring your prepaid voucher or you will not be allowed to participate in this program - no exceptions.
  • excluded Children over 3'3" and up to 3'9" must be accompanied by two paying adults (2 adults per child).
  • excluded Children over 3'9" up to 4'6" must be accompanied by a paying adult (1 adult per child).
  • excluded Children over 4'6" will be allowed to participate alone by paying the adult rate.
  • excluded Children under 3'3" tall are considered infants and will do the Encounter program activities (kiss, hand target, and handshake) regardless of the program in which they participate. All infants must fit into the life vests required during the program.
  • excluded All children are subject to measurement upon arrival. Please measure your child prior to booking to ensure you are purchasing the correct program.
  • excluded For the safety of the animals, please use only biodegradable sunblock.
  • excluded Jewelry, watches, rings, bracelets, or any object that might scratch the dolphins are not allowed.
  • excluded Guests must follow the rules of the guides/instructors at all times.
  • excluded All participants should be competent swimmers and comfortable with the use of mask, fins, and snorkel.
  • excluded Each person is required to wear a life jacket.
  • excluded Pregnant women are not allowed to participate.
  • excluded Maximum of 12 people per time slot.
  • excluded Guests must follow the rules of the guides/instructors at all times.
