Overview
Your tour begins when you are picked up in your air-conditioned transport at Port Zante.
You will then embark on a journey through Basseterre visiting important sights such as "The Circus"; this is not actually a circus but is in fact an area of town designed after Piccadilly Circus in London.
The Green clock tower that stands in the middle of the circus has a clock face on each side and symbolizes the busy financial, commercial, and trading aspects of the capital city.
You will then move on to Independence square an important historical location because of its former role as the location of the towns slave market.
Heading north from here you will travel on the main Island road which will take you to St Georges Anglican church which is a beautiful example of craftsmanship.
Your tour then heads westward to take such sights as Boyd's village and Challengers village before moving on to Bloody point and Bloody river which were named by the Carib Indians, the islands first settlers.
You will also visit Wingfield Estate and then Romney Manor to see the magnificent old Saman tree which is more than 400 years old!
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking views and capture the Island's lush vegetation and verdant hills as we journey to the town of Sandy Point, the island's second-largest town.
Here you will see the majestic Brimstone Hill Fortress which was built over a period of 104 years, starting in the late 16th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 40 acre site occupies different levels and offers spectacular sites of neighboring Caribbean islands.
