Overview
The tour starts out with a pickup from your ship where we will take you straight downtown to Charlotte Amalie, the heart of St. Thomas for a morning of shopping in the Caribbeans premier duty-free destination. In Charlotte Amalie, you are free to explore Main Street and the Waterfront for the best deals and unique finds on jewelry, watches, electronics and your favorite liquor.
Your sightseeing tour will then commence where you will travel up the mountain to the highest point at Mountain Top which is 1547ft above sea level, making various stops along the way for you to get out and take some spectacular pictures. Once we reach Mountain Top, you get your first view of Magenas Bay Beach, ranked as one of the top ten beaches in the world. After taking in the view, you will get a chance to visit Beacon Point, a free lookout spot and gift shop where you can try the world famous banana, mango and strawberry rum daiquiris, and other mixed drinks where you pour your own rum!
After departing Mountain Top, we begin our descent down the mountain toward the historic Sir Francis Drake Seat Lookout. According to local tradition, the famed privateer Sir Francis Drake once used this vantage point to watch for enemy ships traveling through the surrounding waterways.
From there, we continue along the scenic ridgeline of St. Thomas, making a stop at Skyline Drive Lookout for even more breathtaking panoramic views. This overlook offers spectacular vistas of the turquoise Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands, including Water Island and Hassel Island. On especially clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of Saint Croix in the distance.
Finally for some relaxation on the beach, we will be arriving at Megan's Bay Beach. You will have about 2 hours on the beach to relax, swim or snorkel, or do whatever your heart impels you to! Your personal items will be secured in the vehicle while you are at the beach.
At the end of your beach time you will be taken back to your ship with nothing but fun, unforgettable memories of St. Thomas!
This tour involves some walking and the sights that will be visited are not equipped for wheelchair access/elevators.
