Discover the capital city of Kingstown with its historical buildings, churches and Cenotaph. See how the Cenotaph is decorated with the 61 names of the sons of Saint Vincent who gave their lives in the Great War, 1914-1918.
Enjoy a photo stop in the quaint fishing villages of Layou and Barrouallie before visiting one of the most popular sites of Wallilabou Bay. The filming location to the opening scenes of the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
Come face to face with the 2 most spectacular waterfalls, Dark View Falls. With one waterfall above the other its waters cascade down high cliffs and plunge into natural pools. The waterfalls flow all year round from the Richmond river on the Leeward section of the island, with an elevation of 110 feet and 29 feet above sea level respectively. Here will will embark on a short and easy hike from the parking area of the falls through the rain forest. Cross the Richmond river via a bamboo bridge or conventional bridge.
After crossing the river you will pass through a clearing in the middle of a pretty bamboo grove before reaching the first tall waterfall. At the falls there are gazebos, change rooms, picnic areas where you can also enjoy the viewing platforms and bathing pools.
After another short but little more difficult walk ,you will reach the second waterfall directly above the first. No trip to the Caribbean would be complete without a taste of the local tipple! As your day comes to an end you will then make your way with your guide back to the cruise port in plenty of time to meet your ship.
