With Saint Vincent known for its yacht-filled harbors and volcanic landscapes, your day will begin with a drive to Kingstown, Saint Vincent's Capital city. Pass by the historical buildings and Cenotaph, and sit back and relax while the guide will tell you all about the history of the churches and sites along the way. See how the Cenotaph is decorated with the 61 names of the sons of Saint Vincent who gave their lives in the Great War, 1914-1918.
Journey over to the west side of the town to Fort Charlotte, which was built on the hill overlooking the harbor. This British-colonial era fort allows you to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Leeward side including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia and the famous island of Mustique.
After taking in the breathtaking views of the coastline we will make our way to the Botanical Gardens one of the oldest in the Western hemisphere and perhaps the oldest in the tropical world. Here you will find St Vincent's national bird, St Vincent Parrot, the Amazona Guildingi. With its head colored white, yellow, and violet, it is a large beautiful bird around 16-18 inches long and is the only type of parrot on the island.
After a morning of sightseeing, unwind at Buccament Bay Beach, one of the island’s most popular stretches of sand. Enjoy approximately two hours of free time to swim in the calm Caribbean waters or simply relax under the sun. Complimentary water, fruit juices, rum punch, and WiFi are included to enhance your beach experience.
No trip to the Caribbean would be complete without a taste of the local tipple!
