Your guide meets you on arrival, step aboard your transport and settle in as you prepare to take this iconic road trip!
Leaving the cruise port and city behind, your day of Cape Breton countryside awaits. A fully charged camera and comfortable shoes are a must, to enjoy your time away from the city. During your tour you will cross the little Bras d’ Or, where you can expect to see the beautiful lake and boats.
You will enjoy a stop at Kelly’s Mountain, with two breathtaking look-outs- the Bras d ‘Or and Saint Ann’s Bay. Perfect to capture memorable photos, take in the scenic views of Saint Ann's Bay before you cross the Bay via the Englishtown Ferry. Journey onwards through the Cape Breton Highlands along the Cabot Trail.
Your tour takes you through sparsely populated communities, learn about the locals that work as forest loggers, pulp-cutters or fisherman. Discover local communities such as South Gut Saint Ann's, North Gut Saint Ann's and North River Bridge. The names are endless and take after the numerous ships that frequented the area - Breton Cove, French River, and more! Your driver/guide will narrate these well-known names of the area; you do not need to remember them all!
You will enjoy exploring the very steep Cape Smokey and its stunning scenery before arriving in the Ingonish area. This is home to a Keltic Lodge at Middlehead and Highland Links Golf Course, for any golf enthusiasts, this is ranked as a top course in Canada!
This tour includes a stop where you can purchase food and beverages and there are gift shops available -you may want to take home a souvenir and remind you of this spectacular region.
At the end of your tour, you will return to your cruise port.
