Your guide welcomes you at the waterfront area of Picton. Ready to share the excitement of the Mail Day as your Skipper delivers the New Zealand Rural post bags, groceries and anything else that the residents may need!
Operating from Monday to Saturday, no one day is the same as the route changes daily covering a different area delivering the mail. The Beachcomber Mail Boat is the only official licensed New Zealand Post Rural Delivery service by water in the Queen Charlotte Sounds.
Step aboard for a unique experience, during your cruise your Skipper will provide an interesting and informative commentary on the history of the Marlborough Sounds and the people who lived there then and now. Feel free to ask any questions and keep your camera handy for any wildlife encounters! You never know what you may see! Take the opportunity to explore Ship Cove, read the panels, take pictures or just walk along the beach.

Please arrive at your meeting point 15-30 minutes before the start time for an on-time departure.

The sun is very harsh, wear a hat, sunglasses and a minimum of 30+ sunscreen, even if you are outside for short periods.
