Your professional guide welcomes you at the cruise terminal where your 3 hour tour begins.
A perfect introduction to the city get ready to discover the world of Te-Whanagnui-a-Tara, Te Papa Tongarewa, the National Museum of New Zealand, before seeing the golden sands of Oriental Bay on your way to your first photo stop - the Wellington sign. You are not in Hollywood but the sign is a well known landmark in the area, perfect for photos!
Learn about the roots of the film industry, in the Miramar suburb and travel the peninsula and hear about the important conservation the region has applied to support the regions birds. Time for another photo moment, featuring the South Coast, admire the sweeping views of the harbor and on a clear day all the way to the Cape Palliser and the South Island.
Settle in as you travel along the coast, under the runway by the airport for what's sure to be a tour highlight at the Mt Victoria Lookout - simply the best views to photograph across the city and harbor.
From there you travel to the entertainment area, a vibrant part of the city, known for its craft beer and coffee. Plus the well known areas of Courtenay Place and Cuba Street, your guide will have some great recommendations here!
You will then be dropped off at Wellington’s Cable Car, a fun experience and in just a few minutes you will feel on top of the world! There is time to take more photos as you enjoy the forever views, or pick up a souvenir, there is even a mini-museum to discover at the top.
Your driver/guide will meet you at the top and from here you continue your drive past other well known city attractions, including the Beehive and Parliament Buildings, and the impressive Gothic Old St Paul’s Cathedral. Take in the lovely architecture as you drive along the waterfront before your drop off at the cruise port.
