Once you have been picked up from Buenos Aires Cruise port, you will head north and straight to the town called San Antonio de Areco. This town was founded over 280 years ago and is located approx. 70 miles away from Buenos Aires City, situated on the Areco River.
Nestled in lush farmlands, San Antonio de Areco still has narrow sidewalks and the local handicrafts, blacksmiths, silversmiths, and leather shops lining the streets, so it is possible to learn about this art from the skillful artisans. One of the highlights in this town is Juan José Draghi’s workshop, who started to work as a silversmith in the 60´s. His wit and ability turned him into a real master of this art, and today, his wife and sons continue on his work. You will spend the morning taking a stroll around this historic town, along with a visit to Juan José Draghi’s workshop.
In the afternoon you will visit El Ombu Estancia Ranch & Farm. This mansion was built in 1880, and along the 9.8 acres of land, you will find centennial oak trees, palm trees, eucalyptus and magnolias. You will enjoy a traditional lunch while taking in the relaxed atmosphere of this typical traditional Ranch. After lunch, you will get plenty of free time to explore and be able to take part in activities on the farm. For instance - taking trips on the carriages, swimming in the pool, playing tennis, volleyball, football, pool, and ping pong. Or you could choose to just take a leisurely stroll within the park and relax for the afternoon.
At the end of this 8-hour Excursion, you will be taken back to Buenos Aires Cruise port in plenty of time to meet your ship.
