Overview
The meeting point will be at the cruise port of Kusadasi.
When porting in Kusadasi, why not try something different, exploring the beautiful town of Sirince with your guide on hand giving you all of the historical information.
Sirince, the village where the descendants of Ephesus lived until the beginning of the 20th century, is an Orthodox village that lies about 30 km from Kusadasi. Its inhabitants once named it "Cirkince" (ugly), in order to discourage foreigners from visiting. After several years, however, visitors understood that it was not ugly and re-named it "Sirince" (pretty).
Enjoy a walking tour through this lovely village. See the beautiful wooden houses, and visit the towns 19th-century church. At some point, stop for a coffee break at the village square, where you can see the local market, famed for its laceworks. The women of the village are famous for their rugs, and, on the way back to Kusadasi, you will be treated to a short visit to their weaving school.
Enjoy free time to explore Sirince before returning back to your guide and transportation ready to commence the journey back to the port of Kusadasi.
