ICELANDTours & Shore Excursions

Iceland was formed by the most elemental forces of nature and still exudes the raw, primal feeling of rugged lava fields, active geysers, geothermal springs, fumaroles, waterfalls, ice and snow. But despite ice, snow and a latitude just outside the Arctic Circle, Iceland is fortunate to have a temperate climate, thanks to the warm waters of the Atlantic Gulf Stream. While most people live in Reykjavik, the country's capital, it is outside the city where you will experience the stark beauty of this special place. Iceland's first inhabitants were Nordic and Celtic peoples, who arrived in the 9th century and it is these people who still make up the majority of Iceland's warm and welcoming population.
