Overview
As you depart from Piraeus port in Athens, you will travel approximately 48 miles Southwest and find yourself in the historical town of Corinth.
On the way to Corinth town, you will make a short stop at Corinth Canal, this marks the point where two seas join, the Aegean Sea and the Ionian Sea. Once you have arrived in Corinth town admire the remains of the ancient city, including The Agora (the marketplace) and Apollo's Temple. Throughout the tour, your driver will be giving you the historical information of the area.
Corinth is well known for its industry nationally, local produce includes medical equipment, marble, salt, mineral water, various meat products, copper cable, and petroleum products. Corinth was founded in 1858 after the town of Corinth was substantially destroyed by a large earthquake. Many years later in 1933, a great fire struck, and the new city was rebuilt once again.
During your private tour, you will see the ancient port of Kechries, where St. Paul lived and preached for two years.
