Your private driver will meet you at your cruise port or hotel. Departing from your port, sit back and enjoy a leisurely transfer to Taormina. With panoramic views you drive takes you uphill. Enjoy a stop at the most panoramic square "Belvedere square" with its unique breathtaking views over the Messina coast line, all the Taormina bays, the Catania coast line and our volcano Etna. A perfect photo stop!
From here your drive continues, arriving at the charming medieval village of Castelmola, located above Taormina. Here, you will stroll several narrow picturesque streets with wonderful sea and Etna views. You can also visit the antique 13th century Arab castle, situated on the highest and most panoramic place in the area.
The next stop is the historical centre of Taormina, here you will have your own free time to explore the village, stroll the mean streets and narrow ways with picturesque corners and nice shops. The downtown centre represents a variety of historical periods, from the early Greek settlements and the Roman age, to the remains of Byzantine and Medieval constructions up to the 15th Century. Your driver can suggest a good local place to let you have something to eat.
After your free time, you will board your transportation, for your return drive to the cruise port or hotel.
