Overview
Your tour starts with a pick-up from your cruise port and a scenic transfer to Hoi Anu countryside. You will be welcomed by your friendly farming family with rice tea before starting your farmer lifestyle experience.
Get ready for an enjoyable experience, in which you wear a traditional farming shirt and take part in some fieldwork with a local farmer that includes plowing soil, rake and sowing.
After your field time, you will return to the farmhouse to prepare white cooking rice in the kitchen. Discover the steps involved from grinding paddy by husking mill to pounding and sifting the rice. A truly authentic experience as you make traditional rice milk and cook rice cake!
You also have time to try to ride buffalo and experience a refreshing massage and foot herb-soaking.
After all your experiences it’s time to enjoy a delicious lunch at the farmhouse with some specialties of the area: fresh and fried spring rolls, Banh Xeo (a local pancake), steamed rice, fish, soup and seasonal fruit.
After lunch, you bid farewell to your farm family and transfer to the ancient town of Hoi An. Here you will explore the magnificent World Heritage site, visit Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi a museum, and free time for shopping at the many boutique shops.
At the end of your local adventure you will board your transfer back your ship at the end of afternoon.
