Overview
The tour will commence with a drive down to Chandor, located in the south of Goa. This was the ancient capital of Goa during the Kadamba dynasty. It is known to be more than 350 years old and is situated near the church square in Chandor. Every stone will spell history and tells a separate story of its colonial past.
Continuing your tour, you will then be driven to the most picturesque Taluka Quepem, which the Portuguese conquered in the 17th Century. Visit the "PALACIO DO DEAO" which is a 213-year-old mansion. It was built by a Portuguese noble man who was the Dean of the church and the founder of Quepem town. It is built in an unusual style of architecture, blending Hindu and Portuguese culture. Its lush gardens are also outstanding, more so due to the fact that their historical features have been preserved and since old times, have been known as the most beautiful pleasure gardens in Goa.
At the end of the tour you will be taken back to your cruise ship in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
