Your tour representative meets you at the cruise port ready to introduce you to the best nature and culture of the region.
Settle in as you leave the cruise port behind and travel towards Yala National Park. The park is famously known for it's leopards, home to the highest population in the country.
On arrival you will climb into our open-top safari jeep ready for a thrilling discovery. Travel through the forest and wetlands and take in the incredible park views.
Binoculars are at hand to observe the wildlife, look out for elephants, wild boar and even sloth bears! The scrub and wetlands are also a perfect habitat for the abundance of bird species, a perfect setting to capture those memorable photos!
After your safari tour, you will stop at a local restaurant for a leisurely lunch before preparing for your cultural afternoon.
Around a 30-minute drive and you will arrive at Kataragama Temple where you will have around an hour to explore this sacred site. This is an unique temple and you will learn about its history and architecture - remember to dress appropriately so that you can enter inside.
Following your visit, you will board your transport for your return drive back to the cruise port.
