Overview
Take a relaxing tour of the most beautiful parts of Taipei including the villages of Ciufen and the Northern Coast area.
First on your tour is the wonderful area of Shimen in the Northern area of Taipei.
The interior of the area is mainly mountains with small areas of flat ground near the coastal regions.
The area of Shimen is well known for its production of crops such as mandarins, peanuts, and tea but is also the location for Taiwan's first nuclear power station!
The most breathtaking views can be found at Cape Fugui where there is also an impressive lighthouse.
You will then travel to the Chiufen, a mountainous area in the Ruifan district of Taipei.
The villages of Chiufen were once the centers of gold mining in Taiwan and although the gold is now long gone, the quaint old villages remain.
The houses are tightly packed together due to the steepness of the mountainside and offer an enchanting glimpse into the lifestyles and cultures of the past.
This is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre and discover the scenic side of one of the most enchanting and dynamic cities in the world.
Itinerary:
- 8:30am Pick up from Keelung harbor and transfer to Taipei City
- 9:10am Visit Northeast Coast National Scenic Area
- 10:30am Visit Chiufen Village
- 12:30pm Arrive in Keelung harbor for departure
