Overview
Komodo Island is one of over 17000 small islands that make up Indonesia and is most well known as the habitat of the Komodo Dragon, the largest lizard in the world. The inhabitants on the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and are predominantly Islamic with some groups of Hindus and Christians.
On this tour, you will be joined by a Komodo National Park Ranger as you go in search of the famous Komodo Dragon. Along the way you will see some of the islands other residents including wild buffalo, deer, and wild pigs as well as a wide variety of tropical birds. Be sure to bring your camera on this special tour as you will want to capture the magical moment you finally get to meet this magnificent beast in its natural habitat.
After you have found the dragon it is time to board a local boat to visit the secluded village of Kampung Komodo.
