Overview

Montego Bay, Jamaica’s second city is the Tourist Capital of Jamaica. Located on Jamaica's North Coast, Montego Bay is famous for stunning coastlines, Beach resorts, & duty-free shopping. Many shops and restaurants occupy the coastline, and have been converted from old sugar mill buildings.

From quayside, we wind our way through the hustle and bustle towards the famous Rose Hall Great House once the opulent home of Annie Palmer “The White Witch of Rose Hall”. The Great House is surrounded with infamous legends – truth and half-truth – listen to them carefully. Anne was introduced to witchcraft and voodoo by her nanny, and in later years when she moved to Jamaica, she married the owner of the Rose Hall Plantation ‘John Palmer’. Soon after this, she murdered her husband, along with 2 subsequent husbands, and lovers. Your visit here will show you the grand house, with its 18th century décor, silk wallpaper, and many antiques. To finish off your guided tour you will take a visit to the dungeon, now converted into a bar & restaurant called ‘Anne’s Pub’.

Continuing your tour, you will travel along the outskirts of Montego Bay, through Ironshore, to see the community development of over 500 homes, before taking a short shopping stop at Blue Diamond Plaza for your duty-free souvenirs.

Taking a drive to bustling downtown, you will visit the busy area that is called ‘Hip Strip’. A well-known tourist location, this area includes many bars & shops, including the popular Margaritaville Bar & Restaurant. Take a selfie with the statue of the legendary Usain Bolt, Jamaica’s 3 times Olympic World Track & Field Champion.

Your next stop will be Doctor’s Cave Beach. Take a swim in the crystal-clear waters or simply sit back and relax on the warm white sands.

At the end of your tour you will be returned to the port in plenty of time to meet your ship's departure.

The local currency is the Jamaican dollar (JMD). However, U.S. Dollars are widely accepted. You'll be able to pay with U.S. dollars, but be prepared to get change in Jamaican dollars if U.S. currency is not available.
It is recommended to take sun cream and a sun hat, as at times on this excursion it can get unseasonably hot!
It is recommended to drink plenty of water.
Please wear comfortable footwear for this excursion as there is some walking on uneven ground, inclines, and steps.
