Overview
Venture out to the east end of Roatan! Depart from Oak Ridge in a wooden canoe-type boat (with a small motor) where youll get to see the island from the beautiful pristine waters! Well pass by some local towns like Jones Ville, Lucy Point, and Jones Ville Point.
Travel through a tunnel of mangroves...just beautiful! At the end of the tunnel, youll arrive at Carob Point, where a lot of foreign investors have vacation homes and businesses.
Next, you may opt to stop at one of the most famous bar & grills on the island called "Hole in the Wall," for a drink or a bite to eat (optional). Alternatively, at this point, you may want to stop at Turquoise Bay for a quick dip in the water and a bite to eat (please refer to "Special Instructions" in this tour description).
Once we're back at Oak Ridge, your vehicle will be waiting for you to continue your land-based tour through the cultural village of Punta Gorda. Your driver/guide will fill you in on all of the interesting histories in this area.
