Your experience begins with pickup at the cruise port followed by a short transfer to the traditional residential neighborhood of Manga.
Here, you will visit an authentic mesa de fritos, a typical fried food stand, where you will enjoy a freshly prepared arepa con huevo.
As the vendor cooks, you will observe the process live and learn about this beloved Caribbean street food tradition that is a daily staple for locals.
The journey continues with a transfer to the vibrant neighborhood of Getsemaní. During a guided walking experience through its lively streets, you will discover Cartagena’s cultural identity, colorful houses, everyday neighborhood life, and the striking urban art that has made this district one of the city’s most creative areas.
From Getsemaní, the tour proceeds on foot toward Cartagena’s Historic Center. Along the way, you will stop to taste a traditional shrimp cocktail, one of the city’s most iconic street food specialties, widely enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
Once inside the historic district, you will explore some of Cartagena’s most famous landmarks, including the iconic Torre del Reloj and the bustling Portal de los Dulces. The walking tour continues through the charming colonial streets of the San Diego neighborhood before arriving at a traditional restaurant near Plaza Fernández de Madrid.
