The Glasgow Cathedral is the best kept medieval cathedral in Scotland and the epitome of Scottish Gothic architecture. Somehow surviving the Scottish reformation, this beautiful structure still has remnants dating back to the 15th century. The building tells an interesting tale ranging from the story telling stained-glass windows towards the east to the lower church which houses the famous St. Mungos tomb. Exploring this imposing building will quickly teach you why this location fueled pilgrimages throughout the land.
George Square represents the primary city center in all of Glasgow. The Glasgow City Chambers towers over the square and along with many monuments provides the backdrop for political gatherings, celebrations and protests.
