You will be met at the cruise port by your English speaking guide ready to commence your tour.
Step back in time on this half-day tour to discover the ancient and magnificent architecture that Istanbul has to offer.
The first stop of the day will be the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. Famed for its magnificent interior and blue Iznik tiles it's the perfect stop for some of the most iconic photos whilst visiting the city of Istanbul.
The next stop of the day is the Ancient Hippodrome, the sporting and social center of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire. Chariot racing was a popular pastime here and the 3 surviving monuments can still be viewed today. The Bronze Serpent Column, Obelisk of Theodosius the Great & the Column of Constantine.
Its then time to visit The Basilica Cistern the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city, the chamber is located in the Southwest of the Hagia Sophia. Built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. Today it is a recognized filming location, one of the most famous being the 1963 James Bond "From Russia with Love".
Our final stop of the day is the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, which opened to the public in 1891. Besides its importance as the first Turkish museum, it remains one of the worlds largest museums. Housing over one million works of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine artifacts.
After this fantastic day, you will be escorted back to the port on your air-conditioned vehicle.
