Overview
You will be met at the cruise port by your English speaking guide.
We'll start out this tour by going across the Galata Bridge to the Egyptian Bazaar (also called the Spice Market). Walk around and explore inside the bazaar, where you'll enjoy lots of shops selling dried fruits, nuts, teas, spices, and natural remedies. We'll also walk around the outside area of the bazaar with lots of local food vendors. Also, shop the New Mosque (Yeni Cami), where you can find products such as seeds, gardening supplies, and even caged birds!
Afterward, well see the Rüstem Pasha Mosque, renowned for its incredible architecture, and the Mahmutpasa Markets (Tahtakale market district), which will be a very authentic experience, as few tourists visit these parts.
One of our final stops will be the well-known Grand Bazaar with over 5,000 shops and stands. Shop for exotic fabrics, clothing, furniture, and jewelry, or simply browse this fascinating market. This walk will be a cultural experience!
After the Grand Bazaar, we'll conclude the tour at Çemberlitas, or the Hooped Column of Constantine. This column served as the centerpiece in the Forum of Constantine, to celebrate and honor the designation of Constantinople as the new capital of the Roman Empire.
