The Piazza dei Miracoli is a vast walled area in the Tuscan town of Pisa and is recognized as a centre of the medieval arts and its finest architecture.
Located on the western edge of the region of the city with its fortified walls the Square of Miracles was proclaimed a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1987.

The Leaning Tower is one of four impressive sites you will discover whilst visiting the Piazza dei Miracoli, the Square of Miracles.
Next to the tower is the Baptistery with its impressive dome and the Cathedral or Duomo di Pisa which lies on a white marble pavement.
The Leaning tower of Pisa, known simply as the bell tower or campanile, stood 60 meters tall until 1990.
Already tilting on the day of its completion the tower now measures at 56 meters.
In its Romanesque style, this white marble bell tower was first completed in 1372.
