We know that traveling with children can be challenging without proper planning. This is why we have designed a special itinerary that will be engaging for parents and fun for the kids!

From the moment you arrive in Florence, you'll learn all about the history of the city and its most important monuments on a 3-hour walking tour with a private guide. The first stop is the Palazzo Davanzati, the Museum of the old Florentine. This ancient palace displays many original artifacts and decorations from the XIV century. This intimate display will really give you a feel for how well-to-do families lived in those times. (entry is 6 euro per person payable locally)

Continuing on, we'll stop in scenic Piazza della Signoria, home of Palazzo Vecchio. Scenery aside, this is one of Florence's most famous landmarks, besides being the centre of Florentine civic life for centuries. Your guide will point out the many beautiful and important sculptures in the loggia (covered gallery) just across from Palazzo Vecchio. After Piazza della Signoria, we'll walk a short distance through the courtyard of the Uffizi Gallery to Ponte Vecchio, the famous 14th-century bridge — once home to butcher shops, now home of Florence's gold shops.

Next up is Dante's District where you will see the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and also Brunelleschi's Dome. Throughout the day you will enjoy a stop for a slice of pizza and also gelato from a local favorite eatery. If you chose, there is the option to pre-book the Accademia giving you the option to skip the line and make the most of your day. Remember that our tours are custom; while were happy to provide a framework based on the most requested highlights, we specialize in tailoring itineraries to include other places of your choosing (time permitting). We have found these suggested stops to be family-friendly.

A beautiful example of the Renaissance palace, Palazzo Medici-Riccardi was the home of Lorenzo the Magnificent, a key figure in the birth of the Renaissance. Michelangelo resided here for some years during his early years training as an artist.

Your last stop of your tour, will be at Pisa's Field of Miracles where you will find the Duomo (cathedral), Baptistery, Campo Santo (cemetery), and, of course, Campanile, better known as the Torre Pendente - the Leaning Tower. Make sure to bring your camera!

After an unforgettable day of exploring, your driver will return you to your cruise ship.

Your English-speaking driver will not enter sites with you but will give running commentaries of what you are seeing and make sure you have enough time to visit each site. Once you arrive to Florence, you will have a licensed guide for 3 hours.
Entrance fees are not included. The Palazzo Davanzati is free for those under 18 years old and costs 6 Euros per person for adults.
