Overview
This private full day tour is a perfect choice to see the beautiful towns of Pisa and Florence. Your transportation for the day can accommodate a maximum of 1 wheelchair and 5 guests. Your tour can be customized to what you and your group would like to see and do. We have included a suggested itinerary, but of course this can be arranged according to your requirements; do let us know at the time of booking.
Your representative welcomes you at your cruise ship, settle into your transportation with your first stop Pisa. A short 30-minute drive towards Pisa with a photo stop en-route at Miracle Square. Relish your free time to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistery and the Pisa Cathedral. (enjoy around 45-60 minutes to explore).
From here, back onboard your transport you drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside (around 1 hour) to the fascinating city of Florence. Built on both sides of the Arno River, Florence has had a significant impact not only on the culture of Italy but that of Europe as well. You drive up the Viale dei Colli, to the amazing terrace of Piazzale Michelangelo.
From there you head into Florence’s city centre, you’ll see well-known landmarks, amongst other sights:
Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral
Leaning Tower of Pisa & Square of Miracles
Piazza della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio)
Piazza della Republica
The elegante Ponte Vecchio (The Old Bridge)
You will have free time to explore the narrow streets full of shops, café bars and trattorias – or simply relax and admire the beautiful views across the river. After a fascinating day discovering and exploring these charming Tuscan towns, you'll be returned to Livorno port in plenty of time to re-join your cruise ship.
Areas of these ancient Italian city's will involve walking on uneven ground, cobbled streets, inclines and steps, comfortable footwear is a must! Your driver will point out the best routes for your wheelchair guests, however it's easy to get carried away in the beautiful streets!
