Overview
Dubai is a truly beautiful city, home to both wonders of the ancient world, and modern marvels. However, on this visit to Dubai, we will be forgoing the old in favor of the new. There really isn't a finer opportunity to see just what modern Dubai has to offer. Your tour begins naturally in the modern areas of Dubai, and your first stop on this journey is at the Burj Al Arab, which numbers among the most famous hotels in all of Dubai.
Following on from this, you'll head on to the next stop to the Palm Island Photo Stop at the Atlantis, before enjoying a bit of free time in the new marine, located in Jumeirah Area.
Afterwards, you'll then carry onwards to the Dubai Mall, the biggest mall in the world no less, where you'll be able to see the Ski Dubai. Time permitting there may be the opportunity to enjoy a delightful visit to the Aquarium as well as the absolutely beautiful fountain. You may, if you so wish, also opt for a visit to Burj Khalifa, but this is a one way transfer only, so you will need to arrange for your own way back. This tour is not to be missed.
Itinerary:
- Photo stop at the Burj Al Arab & Photo stop Burj Khalifa
- Drive thru the Palm Jumeirah Island with one way ride on the monorail
- Photo stop outside Atlantis, The Palm
- Walk around Dubai Marina
- Photo stop Ski Dubai in Mall of Emirates
- Watch the Aquarium & Fountain Show in Dubai Mall - time permitting (the show can be watched from outside)
During Ramadan, dress codes get more conservative. Dubai is usually relatively liberal, but during the Holy Month women should cover their shoulders and their legs down to their knees when out in public, carry a pashmina or a shawl if you do not want to wear lots of layers. For men, it is shirts or T-shirts as usual but make sure shorts are knee length. Expect uncomfortable stares or even a fine if you ignore this rule during the Holy Month.
Everyone has to abide by the "do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum in public between sunrise and sunset rule" that includes tourists. These laws can be punished with fines or even jail time if broken. Restaurants will not be open during the day, but there are some designated cafes open for non-Muslims hidden away behind curtains in most shopping malls; ask at mall information booths for their location if you need a soft drink or a snack. It's easy to get dehydrated if you are not used to the summer heat.
