Leaving the cruise port we will be taken on a tour of Istanbul city on our journey to the famous Topkapi Palace.
On arrival at the palace there will be a short walk up the colonnade to the entrance of this incredible building. The views as you walk up are truly breath taking as your guide will give you the history of the area.
Topkapi Palace entrance is included within the tour and your guide will be on hand throughout. There are many rooms within the Palace, displaying artifacts, treasures and holy relics. Your guide will be pointing out the age of these relics along with explaining about the different tools which are displaying in the glass cabinets for all to see. Relish in the richness of the Sultans clothes, displaying from young outfits up to the older generation, a truly amazing collection of this fascinating empire!
We will continue the tour with a visit to the Mosque of Rustem Pasha, famous for its use of rich red Ottoman Iznik tiles and here we will see the ancient Roman walls that have guarded the city for 2,000 years!
Finally, the tour will be complete with a breathtaking view over the city's natural harbor, the Golden Horn, where you will have time for photo opportunities before returning back to the cruise port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
