Overview
This is a private version of one of our most popular tours!
A private van will take you from your ship to the Juneau airport for a one-hour extravaganza over the Juneau Icefield. Upon arrival at the helipad, you will get an introduction and safety briefing before boarding your private helicopter.
Only moments after departing from the airport, you will be flying over spectacular rock formations and icefalls. The tour is narrated by your knowledgeable pilot/guide.
You will be traveling to one of Herbert, Taku, Lemon, or Norris Glaciers (pilots choice based on weather conditions) - all of which have pristine landing zones. Unlike other helicopter tours that land at glaciers with open landing permits - we only land at the best places which require special permits.
Upon reaching your destination, your pilot/guide will shut down the helicopter and escort you on an informative, relaxing walk while describing the area that surrounds you. The glacier walk will be approximately 20-25 minutes long. Afterwards you will re-board the aircraft for your flight back to the helipad.
Your tour provides private round-trip transportation. If you wish to be dropped off downtown to explore that area instead of the cruise ship pier - let your driver know.
