Enjoy the exhilaration of racing through the seas in an open-air zodiac.
These state-of-the-art vessels were modeled after fast-response Coast Guard rescue vessels and combine speed with extraordinary stability to cruise at 25-35 knots. They give an intense hands-on experience of the sea and the marine environment.
April through October are the ideal months to view the southern resident orcas in all of their glory near Victoria, BC. The Juan de Fuca and Haro Straits are home to three resident orca (killer whale) pods. Nearly 100 killer whales belong to these three pods, providing you ample opportunity to have your own close encounter of the deep. Other marine wildlife frequent to the Victoria area that you may encounter include Dall's porpoise, harbour porpoise, harbour and elephant seals, otters, and many marine birds such as cormorants and bald eagles.
There is also a chance of sighting humpback, minke, and gray whales during your Victoria whale watching tour.
In addition to the vessel operator, each of our boats carries a university-educated naturalist. Our naturalists are there to answer your questions and provide wildlife and natural history interpretation. We are the only company in Victoria offering this level of service on a vessel carrying 5-12 passengers (most have a single operator who doubles as a guide). This extra crew member provides a level of safety we refuse to operate without. The naturalist can attend to your needs while the vessel operators full attention is given to running the boat.

This tour only runs during daylight hours. Most cruise ship arrivals into Victoria are later at night. Please check your itinerary and make sure your ship arrives at 5pm or earlier. If you are on a ship that stops in Victoria during the months of May or September - your ship must arrive at 3pm or earlier.
