Overview
Your English-speaking guide will accompany you for this half day excursion taking in all the highlights of Puerto Madryn.
Beginning in the centre of Puerto Madryn your sightseeing will take you around the new shopping mall, the best place in the city to go shopping, then the historical district, listen to your guide while they tell you stories about the legends of the area and the fascinating history of the city.
Heading down towards the ore docks you will want your camera at the ready to snap the scenic view of Punta Cuevas.
While you are taking your photographs, you will stand near the monument of the Indian Tehuelche.
This impressive statue is dedicated to the former inhabitants of the area.
Listen to your guide explain how they helped the first Welsh settlers and the story of Ann Humphreys.
Move on to Playa Parana where you will be away from the crowds.
Look closely and you will see the sea lion colony in their natural habitat.
Observe these beautiful animals from the cliffs that have been altered as verandas to give you the best view.
Swirling above the sea lions you will be amazed by the Black Cormorants flying around.
You will then be returned to your cruise ship in plenty of time for your ship's departure.
