Overview

Be ready to start your 6 hour guided tour by driving to Wadi Rum Desert Reserve and its many wonderful sights.

When you arrive at the reserve you will be taken on a 3 hour Jeep Safari around the desert to begin your adventure of seeing the many sights of the Desert. You will visit Wadi Rum Village, you will discover in this Village of Rum that it sits exactly one mile above sea level, this is a surrounded area which is home to Jordans highest point, Jabal Umm ad Dami.

The village you will visit is very rural, very quaint and simple, there is a few shops, unfinished rural houses, and one mysterious main street, continuing on through this village your next stop will be the phenomenal 7 Pillars of Wisdom, precisely 7 pinnacles of red stone towering over the beginning of the reserve, a sight not to be missed!

From here you will move on to Al Ghazali Graffiti, you will take a short walk through and see many of the historical sights of the Graffiti on hidden rocks, Wadi Rum has been formed by many human cultures since prehistoric times, many interesting cultures including the Nabataeans, these left their mark in the form of rock paintings, Graffiti.

You will then continue to Lawrence Spring, the history behind this has gone back years from when officer T.E Lawrence passed through the desert several times during the Arab Revolt in 1912 - 1917. Also, you will discover that the 2015 film The Martian was filmed here, with Wadi Rum standing in as the Red Planet!

Be sure to remember to bring your camera for all the unmissable memories!

From here, you will be taken to visitor center where you will get the chance to have some lunch (included in the price) and some free time to take all of the information in. You will then be taken back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.

Basic Itinerary:

Depart from the Port
Drive towards Wadi Rum (this will take approximately 1 hour)
You will begin your Jeep safari desert excursion
Multiple stops around Wadi Rum (may involve slight walking)
Free time for approximately 1 hour, for some lunch and relax in the beautiful desert
Return back to the Port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure

It is recommended to take sun cream and a sun hat, as at times on this excursion it can get unseasonably hot.
