Your experience begins in a local Mayan community, where you’ll be welcomed into the home of a traditional family. Step into their world as you learn about their customs, witness age-old cooking techniques, and take part in a hands-on tortilla-making demonstration, you’ll even get to craft your own!
Savor a delicious, home-cooked meal featuring traditional tamales and other regional dishes, all made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and seasoned with authentic Mayan spices. For a touch of adventure, enhance your meal with a drizzle of mild or fiery habanero sauce, just as the locals do.
After this cultural encounter, your journey continues to the spectacular Bacalar Lagoon, known as the “Lagoon of Seven Colors.” At the serene Holly Margarita Lake Shore Club, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy paradise your way, swim in the lagoon’s crystal-clear waters, paddle a kayak across the shimmering surface, or lounge with a refreshing cocktail in hand from the club’s full-service bar. You will have just under of 2 hours of free time here to explore the lagoon.

The lagoon is gorgeous, and a little rocky. If you'd like to explore, please wear appropriate shoes.

If you wish to use kayaks - the maximum weight is 220 lbs. per person for single kayak or 270 lbs. combined weight for double kayak. If you are pregnant, kayaking is not allowed.
