This is a private tour of Rome and below is a suggested itinerary. This is fully customizable so if you would like to change the order of your tour, or see something different you can let your driver know. Your driver knows the best routes and spots in the city, taking you up close to the attractions and sights, so you can really maximize your time ashore!

Leaving the cruise port behind, settle in for a scenic drive through the countryside heading to the sites of the beautiful city of Rome. There is so much to see in Rome, it will certainly be a full day of excitement and adventure!

As you approach the city you will catch a glimpse of one of the city’s most famous and recognizable landmarks - The Colosseum! The first permanent amphitheater to be raised in Rome, and the most impressive arena the classical world had yet seen. Originally capable of seating around 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. The Colosseum is today, a major iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and a tour must-see! Admire the grand arches and imposing structure from the outside and take memorable photos!

Continue your tour to the Trevi Fountain - The Fontana di Trevi, it is the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome. A fantastic work of art that is much more than a mere sculpture. Featuring Neptune, god of the sea riding a chariot in the shape of a shell, pulled by two sea horses you will feel the fluctuating moods of the sea. Remember to throw a coin into the water - legend has it you will return to Rome!

Continue with visits such as Piazza Navona, The Pantheon, and the famous Spanish Steps, all well-known landmarks in the city.

A day in Rome would not be complete without time to spend in the Vatican City. Spend the afternoon in one of the most sacred places the world has ever seen. With St Peter's Basilica at the center bordered by palaces, gardens, and St Peters Square. Home also to the Vatican Museum with more than five miles of corridors. Its vast collection chronicles the history and accomplishments of mankind over the last 2000 years, featuring classic masterpieces such as Rodin's "Thinker" and the Sistine Chapel. Skip the line entrance tickets for the Vatican Museum can be purchased in advance, at an additional cost, and is a popular option to maximize your time.

During your time in Rome, you choose how much time to explore, have lunch or simply take a coffee at the many restaurants or cafes. Your driver will be able to suggest restaurants and try some delicious Italian food, perhaps pizza or pasta!

At then of your time in Rome, you will board your transport for your return journey back to your cruise port.

Guests using wheelchairs and scooters are required to advise at the time of booking. Space is not guaranteed and subject to availability.

Please arrive at your meeting point 15 minutes before the start time for an on-time departure.
