Overview
Your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the cruise port; board your transportation and settle in as you leave the port behind.
You will begin your guided tour with a scenic drive towards ancient Olympia where you will have the chance to explore the ruins with your professional guide and learn all of Olympia's history. The stories behind Olympia will mesmerize you.
Ancient Olympia, which is dedicated to Zeus, the father of Gods, is located on the south-western foot of Mount Kronios, since 1829 when a French team partially excavated the Temple of Zeus and from 1975 to the present day, the German Archaeological Institute continues to excavate the Olympia site. Olympia is a very cultural and historic place with many stories to be told.
Once your walking tour of Olympia has come to an end, you will head to a local winery.
As you make your way to the local winery, you will be greeted by a representative who will inform you of all the interesting facts of the locally produced wines. Once you have learned about the wine, you will now have the chance to sample the wines yourself! Sample some of the best local Greek wines in this lovely winery. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of this beautiful place whilst sipping on locally produced wine.
Once your winery tour has come to an end, you will enjoy a scenic drive back to the port, where you will return to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ship's departure.
