Overview
Discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Tahiti on this scenic half-day tour along the island’s east coast.
Your journey begins with a visit to the James Norman Hall House, the former residence of the renowned poet and American author, where you’ll learn about his daily life and literary contributions.
Continue along the coast to Matavai Bay, arriving at the historic Venus Point, the famed landing site of European explorers and evangelists. Named by Captain James Cook during his 1769 expedition to observe the transit of Venus, this site features the island’s only lighthouse, built in 1867.
Next, enjoy a short walk through a tranquil bamboo forest leading to the Faarumai Waterfalls, where you’ll witness the impressive Vaimahuta Falls, surrounded by lush tropical scenery.
If time permits, there will be an additional stop at the Arahoho Blowhole, a natural marine geyser that shoots ocean spray dramatically through a volcanic rock formation.
To conclude your adventure, guests may choose to be dropped off in town for additional exploration or shopping before returning to their hotel or ship.
